Dress Me :: Black Friday

L.A.M.B. Wright Sash Cross Body Bag / Tory Burch Leather Reva Flats / Vince Stripe Sweater
Black Friday shopping is an art form. One that many of my friends have mastered. They figure out the deals at all the stores they want to go to and put them in order of priority and location. They map out their route, parking garages and all, and get up at the crack of dawn. I'm more of a Cyber Monday gal. No driving, no lines, no crazy women running around! But I get to watch on TV if anyone gets trampled at a Target.

If you are going to venture out on Black Friday, you must think carefully about your outfit. In many areas of the U.S. it is now chilly, so you've got to dress warm, but if you have too many layers and big coat on while you are running through stores you can get the shopping sweats. I hate it when I get too hot while shopping! I'd do a simple, long-sleeve, lightweight, sweater or top. Some skinny jeans (that are easy to get on and off if you plan on doing the whole one-for-you one-for-me type of shopping),  and comfortable walking flats (again, if you'll be trying on shoes yourself, flats are easy to get on and off quickly). I'm a brisk walker when it comes to shopping, and I definitely don't want my shoes to irritate me. And for this level of shopping, I'd suggest a small messenger-type bag. Only bring the essentials: wallet, phone, keys, lip balm, and coupons! You don't want to be digging around in the bottomless pit of your big bag and lugging that heavy thing full of stuff you don't need around all day, not worth it. Sling that bag across your shoulder because you're going to need both hands today! So get organized and get shopping! (Or I like to tell myself I'm stimulating the economy.)

I'm with you - stimulating the economy. I like that I totally participated in black friday (actually went to Zona Rosa on Thursday late night!) and yet basically just shopped for myself - not quite the gift giving spirit i should be in...

I LOVE your Tory Burch Reva flats. I bought a pair of black patent ones this black Friday, unfortunately they weren't on sale. These are mine http://www.flickr.com/photos/39715038@N00/6395975747/in/photostream
