They call it Eyewear with a Purpose. The very hip and fairly new eyewear company, Warby Parker, has set the standard for eyewear companies. Four close friends were sick of chic eyewear costing an unnecssary $300+ and decided to do something about it (thank you!). The WP goal is to provide higher-quality, better looking prescription eyewear for under $100. And they have. Their perscription glasses cost $95. Yep, that's it. Ummm hmmm, lenses included. Nope, you don't even pay for shipping. Oh you thought that was it? You can even pick out 5 frames that they will send to your house (for free) to try on!
So why Eyewear with a Purpose? Because they also GIVE a pair of glasses to someone in need for each pair purchased. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!?! So not only are their prices super affordable for well-designed, quality frames, but they also give another pair away. (See how that's possible here.)
We believe that everyone has the right to see. Unfortunately, millions of people around the world today don’t have access to proper vision care. To help address this problem, Warby Parker partners with renowned non-profits, such as VisionSpring.org, to deliver one pair of glasses to someone in need for every pair that we sell. In doing so, we enable you to share the gift of vision with someone who can’t see today and give them the opportunity to read, to work and to live a fuller life.I have these Colton frames in hazelwood, and I L-O-V-E them. Above are some of their new sunwear frames, launching in August. I'm so excited! Can't wait to try them on! I heart the Mable and Everett frames, but really I like them all, and I never know what will look good on my skinny head. So go buy yourself some new glasses, without breaking the bank, and feel good about it because you are also providing glasses to someone else who needs them.
