kate spade — launch party

I can safely say that the kate spade new york Kansas City launch party was a success. The place was packed with kate spade loving gals (and a few guys). Eric Linebarger of LemonLime Photography took some amazing photos (you can see the entire album of his photos on my facebook or the kate spade new york blog but I have a few sprinkled in this post).

I was decked out in kate spade! (maylis wool pant in black / kiki wedges (in love!) / cha cha cha sweater)

So much eye candy in the store! Love those lighting fixtures!

I got the most amazing shellac mani from Oak Nails the day of party (literally still have the mani and it's still perfect!) and went all out and got a glitter party nail! Wearing the All Wrapped Up Large Bow Ring.

Had to take a pic of my Kiki Wedges on the colorful stripey floor.

The furniture in the store was to die for! There were six of the short stools in all different colors I was drooling over. The taller green stools are up by register, ya know, if you had a long shopping day.

Oh those kate spade people are so clever. The wall behind the register is a grid
of the colorful kate spade boxes. Hello good use of space.

The dressing room might have been my favorite spot in the store. Loved the wallpaper & lighting fixture!

When you walked in you were greeted by a zebra. Always keeping it fun!

So many of my friends came by to celebrate. Thank you everyone for coming!

We had some amazing vendors for the party. Olive Events did the food and drinks. Le Bon Macaron made the amazing macarons (website coming soon, e-mail me for serious inquiries and I'll give you the info). Hannah Hurrle was our fab DJ. We had some amazing lettering artists from Hallmark Cards, Tobe and Melanie, personalizing kate spade tote bags as a party favor. And Eric Linebarger of LemonLime did the photography.

so, silly question. i have been wanting to rock the glitter nail trend but wasn’t sure if you were supposed to do both ring fingers glitzy or just one. i’m not engaged or married, so I was thinking I could just do my right hand ring finger. any thoughts on if there are “rules” or a general trend?

Lauren, I never even thought of the married thing as far as the glitter nail goes. I think it's just a fun trend, but if you feel odd about doing it on your left ring finger just do it on the right one! No big deal :) I'm not one for rules!

You look gorgeous!

I love your Shellac, it's a shame it's not a normal nail polish as I was going to ask you what brand it was!
