This week has been a little crazy! Yesterday I was painting our new place all day, after running around the city getting all the right tools and paint colors. Then of course the elevator closest to our apt was out of order. I took one load up 10 flights of stairs thinking this is a great workout... yes yes it is. So the next two loads I walked down to the other elevator. Everything that could have gone wrong or could have taken forever, did, but I remained in a happy mood all day. I love painting. The weather was beautiful, I had all the windows open. The excitement of moving and redecorating took over all my thoughts. My awesome landlord stopped by and approved my new idea to paint one of the main walls and our walk-in closets black! Yep, baby seal black people. I'm so excited!
More photos after the jump!
This space is going to be my office. Woo hoo! Lots of light!
Left: Picking out paint colors / Right: An awesome lamp I saw at HomeGoods... Why didn't I get it while there!?! Going back tomorrow to see if it's still there, and going to add a black shade.
And this lovely headboard was also at HomeGoods for only $399! Need to measure it for a client if it's still there. I actually want it for myself, but I need so many other things that replacing something I actually have that is fine is not in the cards right now. Jenny should make one like this!
I'm in need of lots of rugs for our new place, so I'm stalking HomeGoods and the Internet. It's just so hard to pull the trigger! This cool rug on the left was at HomeGoods, but I hadn't finalized paint colors yet, so we'll see... And I'm in LOVE with this cool suitcase and it was at TJMaxx. I'm just afraid a white suitcase would get gross. If they'd had the black one I probably would have went home with it.
I'm reading It's Not How Good You Are, Its How Good You Want to Be: The World's Best Selling Book by Paul Arden. It's a quick read, but every page is full of motivation and inspiration. / Wednesday night I was asked to come to a little film fest and show my artwork. It was fun to meet some new people and they were very interested in my boob paintings. It's kind of hilarious to watch people's reactions when I tell them what the paintings are. Above is a new neon one I did recently.
