NYC INTERIORS: Modern Loft in Tribeca

I was so fortunate to have the opportunity to shoot a recently finished Tribeca loft while in NYC a few weeks ago. The owner, Hilary Valentine, was so sweet and I loved her bright spunky style. She worked with interior designer, Steffani Aarons, and architect Ben Fuqua at DHD Architecture Design on the project. I'm far from a professional photographer, so these photos don't even do this place justice!
The rest of the tour after the break!

Hilary's main desires fore the space were storage and an amazing kitchen. She wanted a home that was fun, vibrant, and easy for guests to come over and enjoy themselves in. Hilary is so pleased with how light and airy the kitchen is since she spends so much time in there. Steffani's favorite rooms are the kitchen and master bath, and loves custom dip dyed antique rug in the living room, and the console by BDDW in the entry (below).

I'll take you through the space just like I went through it (jaw. on. floor.). The elevator opens right into the the home and you walk into this light, bright entryway. The ceilings in the entry, living, dining, and kitchen are all two-story (I know, amazing!).

Resources: Cole & Son Grey Peonie wallpaper; Loop Mirror from Casa Midy in San Miguel, Mexico; Lake Credenza from BDDW

As you walk through the entry, the entire space opens up. On the right is this bright living space, and to the left is the dining space. The fact that this large area is two stories high with two sets of windows ups the drool level for me. It was light and bright, and let's be real, I've painted the majority of the rooms in my home and condo gray, so obviously.

Did you see the piano? It took everything in me not to sit down and play it while I was walking through the space. Hilary loves how nothing matches but it all just goes together. She knew she wanted this eggplant couch right away and it's one of her favorite items in the home.

The dining area was one of my favorite spots in the space. I have a thing for comfortable yet stylish dining room chairs, and these velvet ones match my aesthetic perfectly.

Resources: ROOM Walnut Table; Milo Dining Chairs reupholstered in Romo Epino fabric; Chainmail Circular Chandelier from Ochre

The master bedroom is on the main floor, so it too has the two-story ceiling, which gave it the perfect space for a gorgeous chandelier.

Of course I was going gaga over all of the art in this home.

I mean look at the tile.
Resources: Floor tile from Ann Sacks, wall tile from Waterworks

The master closet is filled with Hilary's bright patterned clothing.

Hilary's daughter is 13, and has a sweet lavender bedroom. What girl wouldn't want a Madeline Weinrib rug?

The perfect touch for a teen bedroom, a tassel lined linen bulletin board.

One of my favorite touches in this home is the graffiti on Hilary's son's room.

Living Space Design and interiors assistant Brooke McGowan also worked on this space.

Absolutely gorgeous! I can imagine how good it was in person, any bathroom with both Ann Sacks & Waterworks is a winner in my book.

I have a plain brown sofa and have been looking for a way to jazz it up. I really like the colors on those pillows. Something like that would make my sofa a lot less drab and more fabulous. :)
