What parts of your job do you love?
I love the flexibility of my job and ability to be creative. Social media is one of my favourite outlets, it really lets me get my ideas and thoughts out to connect with my readers and followers.

What parts of your job do you dislike?
Sometimes I put way too much on my plate. Which gets me a tad bit behind... I really don't like not having everything checked off my to-do list at the end of the day. Honestly, it will stress me out till I get caught up again.

What things do you have to do that you didn't realize going into your job?
Oooh this is a tough one! I really didn't think I would have to deal with people copying my work. I quickly found out that there was a lot of copying of not only my product, but also my branding and style. It's hard not to be over protective of my ideas AND be professional at the same time. I've slowly learned how to keep my cool and figure it all out.

What type of calendar do you keep?
I like to have everything written down. I love using my Kate Spade monthly/weekly agenda — it's full of pencil, pen, highlights and sticky notes. I also use my iCalendar on my iPhone to quickly plug things into my schedule.

How do you plan out your calendar?
I try to write everything down in my agenda right away. If I don't have my agenda on my I'll plug it into my iPhone calender or jot it down on a sticky note, at the end of my day/week I make sure I update my Kate Spade agenda.

How do you organize your to-do list?
I LOVE to-do lists. I try to write a daily today list to make sure I'm keeping up with everything that day! I include everything from errands, lunch dates, appointments, bills that need to be paid, blog posts and even my workout I have planned for that day. If something doesn't get done I plug it over onto a sticky note with a big star and stick it smack in the middle of my weekly calender in my agenda.

How do tackle your to-do list?
I write down what is most important first. If I know that something can be moved onto the next days ahead I'll write those things down at the end. Things that I really don't want to do I'll also write them down first to get them out of the way.

How do you get through your never-ending email? Do you have a certain strategy you use?
First I delete all the junk or unnecessary mail — makes my email list look a little shorter. I try to check my email first thing in the morning to tackle important or urgent emails. I'll constantly check my email on my iPhone throughout the day so it doesn't get too piled up. I try to delete emails that I've responded to and dealt with right away so they don't pile up. Important emails that I will need to refer back to will be either filed or stared for easy access when I need to refer back to them.

How do you plan out your products for BFREND?

I produce new products based on ideas that come to mind! As soon as I have a new design on my mind I try to create it right away. When it comes to colours and details I try to leave those for the appropriate season. If the design is a hit, I'll move forward with photo shoots and lots of social media and marketing!

What surprised you about owning your own online shop?
It takes up a lot of time! I try to be available to my customers as much as I can by responding to messages and questions. I love the Etsy app — it updates me with sales and messages as soon as they come in! Makes being on top of things that much easier!

How do you get inspired and come up with your blog posts?
I like to be as creative and fresh as I can. There are so many amazing trends each season that I need try to keep up with. If I can't think of anything to blog about or just don't think the post is 100% I won't blog that day. If I need some inspiration I'll log onto Pinterest or RewardStyle. A little time will go by and hopefully by then I'll have a light go on and think of something fabulous to blog about!

How do you get your blog posts organized and published?
Again I'll write ideas and dates down in my agenda. Throughout the week I'll plug in ideas as they come! At the end of the week I'll have a pretty good ideas what my blog posts for the following week will be. Other times I'll just wake up and have a great idea and blog about it that day. Believe it or not some of those last minute posts are some of my favourites. At first I used to blog every day, but I really found that I became short on ideas. Now, I've balanced to blog 3-4 times a week, it really allows me stay fresh with ideas and put 100% in each post.

I'll first stick to my usual blog schedule which consists of either fashion/trend boards, blogger outfit boards, instagram reviews and bfrend updates. In between those, I'll fill in favourite recipes I've found that week or a fun giveaway.

When you are stuck on a project, how do you get out of the rut?
I'll put it down or close my laptop and walk away. I find if I keep looking at the same thing I really don't get anywhere. I'll start up something new, or distract myself with a workout. By the time I get back I'll have a fresh mind and new ideas will come!

How do you GSD at home?
I ALWAYS (okay, almost always)... make sure I have the bed made, all clutter is put away and start the dishwasher before I start anything or leave the house. I cannot work in a mess, so cleaning up before my day get started gives me such an additional push.

Nuggets of advice you've been given that have stuck?
Work hard, do your best, and be nice to people along the way. If I find that I've offended someone or have miscommunicated something I'll quickly apologize and explain myself. Oh and most importantly have a giving heart!

Any other information about how you GSD, please share?
